Basketball Game Preview: Ouachita Christian Eagles vs. West Ouachita Chiefs

The Ouachita Christian Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the West Ouachita Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Monday, everything came up roses for Ouachita Christian against Harrisonburg as the squad secured a 55-10 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, West Ouachita had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 51-46 win over Claiborne Christian on Monday.

Ouachita Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for West Ouachita, their victory bumped their record up to 16-7.

Everything went Ouachita Christian's way against West Ouachita when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as Ouachita Christian made off with a 76-52 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ouachita Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
