Football Recap: Blackford Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Blackford had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were beaten by the Jay County Patriots 56-6. The Bruins have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Blackford still got an impressive performance from Brady Bannister, who rushed for 115 yards and one score while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Bannister was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards.

Coming up, Blackford will be playing at home against Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jay County, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge New Castle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
