Basketball Recap: Silverton Comes Up Short

Silverton lost against Happy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Silverton Owls were dealt a 74-29 loss at the hands of the Happy Cowboys. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 984th, while the Cowboys are ranked 421st).

Silverton has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Happy, they pushed their record up to 22-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Silverton will face off against Texline at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Happy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
