Basketball Recap: The Classical Academy of Sarasota Takes a Loss

The Classical Academy of Sarasota lost against Palm Grove Christian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Classical Academy of Sarasota Patriots lost 58-35 to the Palm Grove Christian Gators. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-7.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Palm Grove Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jeremiah Pitts, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 15 points and seven steals. Pitts is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Gabe Troyer, who went 5 for 12 en route to 11 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

The Classical Academy of Sarasota's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Palm Grove Christian, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-8.

The Classical Academy of Sarasota didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 63-19 defeat against Lakeside Christian on the 16th. Palm Grove Christian has also already played their next game, a 45-38 victory against Central Baptist Christian on the 17th.
