Baseball Recap: Sparta Takes a Loss

Sparta was the 7-4 winner over Vernon when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 6-5 on Friday.

Sparta now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Vernon, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Sparta has already played their next game (against Sayreville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Vernon, they will head out to face off against Kittatinny Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
