Volleyball Recap: Dominion Christian Victorious

Dominion Christian won the last time they faced Augusta Prep and things went their way on Saturday too. The Knights came out on top against the Cavaliers by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Dominion Christian easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-21.

Dominion Christian found their leader in freshman Rachel Caldwell, who had eight digs and five aces. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Caldwell.

Dominion Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in four consecutive matches.

Dominion Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Augusta Prep, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Dominion Christian has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Valwood on the 16th. As for Augusta Prep, they will welcome Monsignor Donovan Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Cavaliers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
