Volleyball Recap: Lake Central Indians vs. Boone Grove Wolves

After flying high against La Porte last Monday, Lake Central came back down to earth. The Indians took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Boone Grove Wolves on Wednesday.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as three sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The final score came out to 32-30, 20-25, 26-24, 29-27.

Brady Cook and Nelko Dragulski certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Cook had 28 assists and eight digs, while Dragulski had 14 assists and six digs. Nico Piunti also deserves some recognition as he had his first kill of the season.

Levi McCoy was the offensive standout of the match as he had 19 digs and two assists. Those two assists gave him a new career-high.

Lake Central's loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-3. As for Boone Grove, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
