Shining Light Academy has gone 8-2 against NC H recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Knights will take on the Heat in a tournament on Friday. Shining Light Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully NC H likes a good challenge.
Shining Light Academy picked up another tournament win on Wednesday. They blew past Cornerstone Christian Academy 70-40. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Shining Light Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josh Pyke, who went 5-for-6 en route to 14 points. The dominant performance also gave Pyke a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (80%). Harry Uwaifo was another key player, shooting 50% from the field on his way to 14 points.
Shining Light Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They are a perfect 8-0 when they've passed the ball that well.
Meanwhile, NC H's game on Monday was all tied up 26-26 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They lost to Shining Light Academy on the road by a 66-50 margin. While losing is never fun, the Heat can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 329th, while the Knights are ranked 149th).
Shining Light Academy will need to focus on slowing down Maxx Perrino, one of several NC H players who made an impact when they last played. He went 8-for-9 to rack up 20 points and seven boards. Thanks to that strong game, Perrino now owns an excellent 49.1% field goal percentage. Another player making a difference was Asher Fowler, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.
Shining Light Academy's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.4 points over those games. As for NC H, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Shining Light Academy has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 30.7 boards per game. However, it's not like NC H struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.9 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
