Softball Recap: Marion Comes Up Short

Marion fell victim to East Clarendon and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolverines. The Swamp Foxes have struggled against the Wolverines recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Kynnedi Jenkins put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Jenkins was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases.

Marion's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for East Clarendon, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

As of now, neither Marion nor the Wolverines have any future games scheduled.
