Desert Pines has gone 7-1 against Mojave recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Desert Pines Jaguars are taking a road trip to face off against the Mojave Rattlers at 6:30 p.m. Desert Pines knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully Mojave likes a good challenge.

On Saturday, Desert Pines was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 75-70 to Pacifica Christian/Orange County. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Jaguars came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 19th in Nevada, while the Tritons are ranked 88th in California).

Meanwhile, Mojave came into Saturday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 59-53 W over Highland on Saturday.

Desert Pines now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Mojave, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.

Desert Pines ended up a good deal behind Mojave in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, losing 82-66. Can Desert Pines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
