Volleyball Recap: Shelton Beats Tri County Northeast for Their Third Straight Victory

Shelton entered their tilt with Tri County Northeast on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wolfpack.

Shelton was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15, 25-20.

Shelton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gracie Willis, who had 13 digs and two assists.

Shelton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in four consecutive matches.

Despite the loss, Tri County Northeast still got an impressive performance from Emily Mitchell, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Shelton's win bumped their record up to 26-5. As for Tri County Northeast, their loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 24-6.

Looking ahead, Shelton will square off against Central Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tri County Northeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
