Soccer Recap: Gordon Central Comes Up Short

After flying high against Dalton Academy last Friday, Gordon Central came back down to earth. The Gordon Central Warriors came up short against the Fannin County Rebels on Tuesday, falling 6-1. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Melanie Chiapas, who's now up to two this season.

Gordon Central's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-6. As for Fannin County, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Coincidentally, Gordon Central and Fannin County will both be playing Dade County the next time they take the pitch. Fannin County will head out to face Dade County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while Gordon Central will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
