Lincolnton's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over West Lincoln. Lincolnton might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Piedmont Community Charter had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.4 goals) and they went ahead and made it eight on Wednesday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Rams.

Piedmont Community Charter's victory bumped their record up to 15-3-2. As for Lincolnton, their win bumped their record up to 13-7-3.
