Football Recap: Coahulla Creek Comes Up Short Despite Zahir Solis' Big Defensive Game

Coahulla Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 42-21 to the Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 286th, while the Warriors are ranked 133rd).

When it comes to explaining why Coahulla Creek lost, don't look at Waelyn Baliles. Despite the final result, he rushed for 59 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 240 yards and one touchdown. A healthy portion of that aerial production (86 yards to be exact) went to Kobe King, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Coahulla Creek didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Zahir Solis.

Coahulla Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.
