Wolcott RVT extended their winning streak to seven on Monday, bumping their season record up to 16-5 in the process. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Vinal RVT Hawks. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-0 victory back in April.

Devon Schmitt made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out nine over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Damian Webb, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April.

As for Vinal RVT, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-17. The defeat was just more heartbreak for they, who fell 2-0 when the teams last met back in April.
