Recap: Ursuline Academy Lions vs. Mount Notre Dame
The Ursuline Academy Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Mount Notre Dame, falling 62-34. While losing is never fun, Ursuline Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 455th, while Mount Notre Dame is ranked 16th).
Mount Notre Dame got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Grace Pitzer out in front who scored 13 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailee Bransford, who scored 11 points.
Ursuline Academy's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Mount Notre Dame, their victory bumped their record up to 15-3.
Ursuline Academy will head out on the road to take on St. Ursula Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Ursula Academy is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Mount Notre Dame, they will be playing at home against Mercy McAuley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Mercy McAuley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday.
