Emmanuel Christian waltzed into their match on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Step of Faith Christian Academy Chargers 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 two weeks ago.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Emmanuel Christian took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-8, 25-8.

Emmanuel Christian can attribute much of their success to Gabbi Crowley, who had five aces and one block. Those five aces gave Crowley a new career-high.

Crowley wasn't the only good server: Emmanuel Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 41 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 21 aces in four consecutive games.

Emmanuel Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-1-1. As for Step of Faith Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Emmanuel Christian will look to defend their home court on Friday against Calvary Christian at 5:30 p.m. Step of Faith Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
