Baseball Recap: Conestoga Comes Up Short

Conestoga managed to slip by Downingtown East the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Conestoga Pioneers lost 12-2 to the Downingtown East Cougars on Friday. The Pioneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Aidan Bakker was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

Conestoga now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Downingtown East, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Conestoga will square off against Lower Merion at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Downingtown East, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on East at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The match will give Downingtown East their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
