Baseball Recap: Seattle Christian Comes Up Short

Seattle Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Charles Wright Tarriers, falling 13-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tarriers this season, with their most recent loss being a 9-0 defeat on Monday.

Seattle Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Hilburn, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Lorenzo Kinimaka also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Seattle Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Charles Wright, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seattle Christian will take on Bellevue Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Charles Wright, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Chimacum at 4:00 p.m. The timing is sure in the Tarriers' favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while the Cowboys have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
