Victory Christian Academy had lost six straight at home dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 0-10 to make it seven. They came up short against the Mountain Empire Redhawks, falling 20-10. On the bright side, the ten- run effort marked the Knights' highest-scoring matchup to date.

As for Mountain Empire, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. 20 seems to be a good number for they as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

For Mountain Empire's part, Rowan Smith was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and one double. Aracely Millan was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Mountain Empire beat Victory Christian Academy by a score of 16-15 on Tuesday.
