Southern came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Manchester Greyhounds with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Tornadoes have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Greyhounds, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Southern took every set by at least 19 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-3, 25-5, 25-6.

Southern's record is now 20-2. As for Manchester, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Southern will be taking part in a tournament against Eastern at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Manchester does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
