Football Recap: Metea Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Metea Valley lost against Sandburg back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mustangs received a blow as they fell 24-7 to the Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Eagles are ranked 43rd).

This is the second loss in a row for Metea Valley and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Sandburg, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Metea Valley is set to take on their familiar foe Neuqua Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Sandburg will face off against rival Homewood-Flossmoor at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
