Basketball Recap: Eula Takes a Loss

Eula lost against Gordon back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Eula Pirates were outmatched by the Gordon Longhorns and fell 74-29. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1287th, while the Longhorns are ranked 370th).

Eula's loss dropped their record down to 17-17. As for Gordon, the victory was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-3.

While Eula had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
