Football Recap: Grand Oaks Takes a Loss

Grand Oaks lost against The Woodlands back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Grizzlies had to suffer through a 45-14 loss at the hands of the Highlanders. The Grizzlies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-7.

Grand Oaks lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Keilan Gause, who rushed for 112 yards, and also caught one score. Gause is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 103 every time he's taken the field this season. Grand Oaks also got help from Darnell Jackson Jr, who showed off his sure hands for 84 receiving yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Grand Oaks fell to 2-1. As for The Woodlands, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.
