Softball Recap: Palmer's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

Palmer was the 8-4 winner over Maypearl when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers on Friday. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Peyton Yates was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Marti Williamson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Palmer's loss dropped their record down to 10-13-1. As for Maypearl, they now have a winning record of 12-11-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Palmer is set to face off against their familiar foe Scurry-Rosser at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Maypearl will square off against rival Blooming Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
