Volleyball Game Preview: York Cougars vs. Wren Hurricanes + Official Tickets

The York Cougars will venture away from home to square off against the Wren Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with York sitting on 11 straight victories and Wren on nine.

York is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Dreher. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since October 4th.

Meanwhile, Wren made easy work of Greer on Monday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Wren not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Greer between 15 and 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-16.

York better focus on containing Libby Claire Yarborough and Rilyn Johnson as the pair were huge in Wren's win. Yarborough had 12 digs and two aces, while Johnson had seven digs and one assist. That's the most aces Yarborough has posted since back in September.

Wren's victory bumped their record up to 28-6-1. As for York, their win bumped their record up to 23-4.
