Winning always takes teamwork, but on Thursday Paige Rogers stepped things up a notch to give Mechanicville the 'W'. Rogers was dynamite, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Rogers and Mechanicville will square off against Emma Willard at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Red Raiders got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Jesters thanks in part to Rogers: she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched.
