Volleyball Recap: Lehi Starts Season with Win Against Cedar Valley

Lehi had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Cedar Valley Aviators 3-0.

Lehi not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Cedar Valley between 17 and 20 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 25-20.

Among those leading the charge was Santiago Hernandez, who had eight digs and five aces. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in aces.

Hernandez wasn't the only good server: Lehi was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Cedar Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Lehi has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Maple Mountain on the 8th. As for Cedar Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Bingham on the 7th.
