Baseball Recap: West Rusk Comes Up Short

West Rusk lost against Troup back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The West Rusk Raiders lost 10-2 to the Troup Tigers. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Rusk saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Troy Hunley, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits Hunley has posted since back in February. Cole Jackson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

West Rusk's record is now 5-8-1. As for Troup, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.

While West Rusk had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
