Volleyball Recap: North Port Comes Up Short

North Port lost against DeSoto County back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bobcats lost 3-0 to the Bulldogs. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

DeSoto County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brileigh Long, who had nine digs and three aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Taylor, who had seven assists and four aces.

North Port's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for DeSoto County, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Port will venture away from home to take on Gateway Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for DeSoto County, they will head out to face off against Hardee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Bulldogs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
