Football Recap: Foresthill Skates Past Futures with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Foresthill). They claimed a resounding 33-6 victory over the Futures Knights. The win was nothing new for the Wildfires as they're now sitting on six straight.

Carly Clarke was nothing short of spectacular: she rushed for 85 yards and one TD on only five carries, and also caught one score. That's the most rushing yards she has posted since back in September of 2024.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Foresthill's defense and their three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Nova Heaton.

Foresthill's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Futures, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Foresthill is set to challenge their familiar foe Elite at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Wildfires 6.3, the Eagles 14.7) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Futures will square off against rival Mesa Verde at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
