Football Recap: Troy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Troy was riding high fresh off their 55-30 takedown of Hillsboro last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans took a 41-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rogers Eagles on Friday. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Troy lost, don't look at Jayden Lucky. Despite the final result, he rushed for 182 yards and three scores while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. Lucky's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 135 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Troy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Rogers, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Troy will square off against Thrall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rogers, they will challenge Whitney at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
