Soccer Game Preview: North White vs. Benton Central

The North White Vikings will venture away from home to take on the Benton Central Bison at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North White's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

North White managed to keep up with Faith Christian until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Vikings came up short against the Eagles, falling 8-1. While losing is never fun, North White can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 146th, while Faith Christian are ranked 45th).

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Benton Central was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They lost 4-0 to Faith Christian.

North White's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3-1. As for Benton Central, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.

North White couldn't quite get it done against Benton Central in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
