Basketball Game Preview: Citrus Valley Blackhawks vs. Grand Terrace Titans

The Citrus Valley Blackhawks will head out on the road to challenge the Grand Terrace Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Citrus Valley will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

While Citrus Valley didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They took down Indian Springs 48-33 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Grand Terrace beat Santiago 69-63 on Tuesday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Titans' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 356th, while the Sharks are ranked 41st).

Grand Terrace's record now sits at 6-4. As for Citrus Valley, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Citrus Valley suffered a grim 75-52 defeat to Grand Terrace when the teams last played back in December of 2023. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Citrus Valley was down 44-22.
