Everything went Le Grand's way against Modesto Christian on Tuesday as Le Grand made off with a 12-2 win. That looming 12-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bulldogs yet this season.

Jose Manzo and Fabian Meza were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Manzo tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Meza tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. At the plate, Manzo scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3, while Meza scored two runs while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Diego Martinez, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Johnathan Benavidez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Le Grand was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .355 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Stone Ridge Christian fell victim to Denair and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Coyotes, falling 10-0. The Knights just can't catch a break and have now endured seven losses in a row dating back to last season.
Le Grand is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. Stone Ridge Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Stone Ridge Christian's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Le Grand hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .332. It's a different story for Stone Ridge Christian, though, as they've only averaged .246. Will they be able to contain Le Grand's hitters?
Le Grand took their victory against Stone Ridge Christian in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 14-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Le Grand since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
