Volleyball Recap: Desert Ridge Takes a Loss

Desert Ridge lost against Williams Field on Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Jaguars came up short against the Black Hawks, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-16, 25-21.

Desert Ridge's offense was headlined by Emily Penuel and Natalie Lorenzo, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Rylee Asanovich and her 15 assists. Bailey Demore controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Desert Ridge's defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 19-10. As for Williams Field, they pushed their record up to 17-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Desert Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Highland on the 27th. As for Williams Field, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Queen Creek on the 27th.
