Softball Recap: South Stanly Comes Up Short

South Stanly fell victim to North Stanly and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 9-0 to the Comets. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Rowdy Rebel Bulls have suffered since April 16, 2024.

South Stanly saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Piper Huneycutt, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

South Stanly is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8. As for North Stanly, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

South Stanly will venture away from home to face off against Ardrey Kell at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for North Stanly, they will challenge West Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Colts will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
