Basketball Recap: Bell Comes Up Short

Bell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 58-26 loss at the hands of the Dunbar Crimson Tide. The Griffins were probably out for revenge after losing 76-29 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Bell lost, don't look at Kwali Moorer. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 14 en route to 18 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Cire Wilson was another key player, putting up four points and ten boards.

Bell's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Dunbar, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-8.

Bell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 42-38 win against Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering on the 31st. As for Dunbar, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 71-47 victory against Bard on the 29th.
