Baseball Recap: Pembroke Pines Charter Victorious

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Pembroke Pines Charter had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top against the South Fork Bulldogs by a score of 5-0.

Not much got past Dean Jaworski, who gave up just five hits and racked up eight Ks to keep South Fork off the board. Jaworski also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Pembroke Pines Charter is 7-3 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 6-9-1 otherwise.

At the plate, Pembroke Pines Charter's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Trey Glaser, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave Glaser a new career-high.

Pembroke Pines Charter now has a winning record of 13-12-1. As for South Fork, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pembroke Pines Charter beat the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.
