Basketball Game Preview: Webster Bearcats vs. Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones

The Webster Bearcats will head out on the road to square off against the Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Webster will be strutting in after a win while Clark/Willow Lake will be coming in after a loss.

It was a proper cat-fight when Webster faced off against Deuel on Thursday. Webster enjoyed a cozy 47-29 victory over Deuel. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bearcats.

Meanwhile, Clark/Willow Lake faced Groton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Clark/Willow Lake fell just short of Groton by a score of 32-30. The defeat continues a trend for the Cyclones in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

Webster has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Clark/Willow Lake, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2.

Webster came up short against Clark/Willow Lake in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 52-40. Can Webster avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
