Girls Prep fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Lipscomb Academy on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 6-5. The Bruisers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Calieah Reyes was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Girls Prep's loss dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Lipscomb Academy, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 16-5.

While Girls Prep had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
