Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Democrats vs. Northern Nash Knights

The Jefferson Democrats will take on the Northern Nash Knights in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Saturday, Jefferson came up short against Ida B. Wells and fell 70-57.

Meanwhile, Northern Nash posted their closest win since January 15th on Saturday. They skirted past SouthWest Edgecombe 56-54. The 56-point effort marked the Knights' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Northern Nash's win came from a few key players Jefferson will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was CJ Rosser, who posted 17 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Jah'Marzea Williams was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Northern Nash and bumps their season record up to 4-1. As for Jefferson, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
