Recap: Mulvane Wildcats vs. Circle Thunderbirds

The Mulvane Wildcats pushed their score all the way to 59 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Circle 64-59. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mulvane in their matchups with Circle: they've now lost six in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Mulvane lost, one person who can't be blamed is Manny Myers. Despite the final result, he went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and 1 assist. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Myers has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kaiden Abasolo, who scored 15 points along with three steals.

Mulvane's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Circle, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-1-1.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Winfield the next time they take the court. Circle will host Winfield at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Mulvane will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
