Baseball Recap: Philip Simmons Takes a Loss

Philip Simmons fell victim to Hanahan and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 14-0 to the Hawks. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Iron Horses' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Philip Simmons saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brian Ebeling, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Philip Simmons' loss dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Hanahan, they now have a winning record of 10-9-2.

Coming up, Philip Simmons will challenge Waccamaw at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Iron Horses are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Hanahan, they will square off against Bishop England at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Battling Bishops will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight.
