Football Recap: William Allen Comes Up Short

William Allen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 27-6 to the Allentown Central Catholic Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Canaries can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 359th, while the Vikings are ranked 133rd).

William Allen now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Allentown Central Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

William Allen will challenge Whitehall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Canaries will need to watch out since the Zephyrs have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Allentown Central Catholic, they will take on Parkland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans' defense has only allowed 8.4 points per game this season, so the Vikings' offense will have their work cut out for them.
