Soccer Recap: Bluefield Takes a Loss

Bluefield and PikeView combined for 27 shots on goal on Thursday, which explains the impressive six total goals scored. The Beavers took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. If Bluefield were looking for revenge after losing 6-0 to PikeView when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Devin Totten wasn't going to let PikeView walk away unscathed as he scored both of Bluefield's goals, bringing his season total up to ten goals.

Bluefield now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for PikeView, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3-2 record this season.

Bluefield will be playing in front of their home fans against Shady Spring at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Bluefield's defense better be ready for this one: Shady Spring have averaged an impressive 4.6 goals per game this season. As for PikeView, they will square off against Pocahontas County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
