Old Lyme won the last time they faced Canton and things went their way on Monday too. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over the Warriors. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won ten contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Old Lyme is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Canton, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Old Lyme beat the Warriors by a score of 15-3 later that day.
