            Baseball Recap: Red Land Patriots vs. Palmyra Cougars        
        
		
        
        
            Red Land dropped their record down to 6-12 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They took  a  3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Palmyra Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  1-0  back in April.
As for Palmyra, the  victory keeps they at an undefeated 20-0. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average this season.
For Palmyra's part, they got a great performance from  Brayden Bown as he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Bown has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Tyler Peck was  excellent,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with one  triple.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Land will venture away from home to  square off against Bishop McDevitt  at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Palmyra, they will head out to  take on Governor Mifflin  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
