Research Triangle is a perfect 3-0 against Neuse Charter since August of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Raptors will face off against the Cougars at 6:00 p.m.

Research Triangle is headed into Wednesday's matchup hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Falls Lake. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Research Triangle couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Neuse Charter has been on a difficult stretch since their win on September 15. They and Roxboro Community finished up their match with a 3-3 draw on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for Neuse Charter as it spelled an end to their seven-match losing streak.

Michael Gutierrez and Kamden Swain scored all three of Neuse Charter's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

With that draw, Neuse Charter's record moves to 2-16-1. As for Research Triangle, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5-3.

Everything went Research Triangle's way against Neuse Charter when the teams last played back in September, as Research Triangle made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raptors since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
