Basketball Game Preview: Ouachita Christian Eagles vs. Delhi Charter Gators

The Ouachita Christian Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Delhi Charter Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Ouachita Christian has six straight victories, Delhi Charter has 18 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Ouachita Christian will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Rayville, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. Ouachita Christian came out on top against Rayville by a score of 44-35 on Tuesday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Hornets are ranked 228th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Delhi Charter took a blow against Madison on Tuesday, falling 52-20.

Ouachita Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 19 games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.9 points per game. As for Delhi Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-18.

Everything came up roses for Ouachita Christian against Delhi Charter in their previous meeting last Tuesday, as the squad secured a 54-9 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ouachita Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
